Singlify Quarterly Newsletter
Message from the CEO
Hello and welcome to Singlify’s quarterly newsletter. It is hard to imagine we are already halfway through 2022!
Our team has been very busy delivering great work for our clients, cranking out new features of the Singlify application, and expanding the team across Europe and beyond.
Not only are we growing our network, but Singlify is also stepping up in terms of partnerships with microfinance companies with a commitment to share and support each other to create synergies and contribute to each other’s success, and ensure we help the affordable finance sector compete better with the ‘tech first’ approach adopted by high-cost lenders and new market entrant fintechs.
We are excited for you to read about this and our other updates below!
Don’t hesitate to reach out via our website or social media.
Sincerely,
Maarten Rooney,
Co-founder CEO, Singlify

Event Recap: EMN Conference

Singlify was a proud sponsor of the European Microfinance Week which took place in Brussels from June 15-17.
This year’s conference, with a diverse lineup of over 50 organizations and 200 professionals, saw a wide range of in-person workshops, keynotes, and opportunities to learn & connect with some of the most qualified microfinance experts and lay the groundwork for successful future partnerships.
Topics of discussion included the role that financial inclusion actors can play under the Social Economy Action Plan, greening inclusive finance, digitalisation and human touch, and financial inclusion for migrants and refugees among others.
Singlify held an interactive session with Qredits where we showcased the Singlify and Qredits business models and our joint vision about how we can make Qredits best practices available to other microfinance institutions in Europe.
Qredits Study visit

On May 20, 2022, Qredits invited European microfinance institutions to participate in a study visit that took place at its headquarters in Almelo, Netherlands. During this one-day Study Visit, the Qredits team presented and shared its experience in providing micro-entrepreneurs with innovative, digital solutions and approaches to their clients.
Our CEO, Maarten Rooney, was a speaker at the event, where he talked about the Singlify/Qredits partnership as well as shared insights on the impact and adaptation of digitization in the microfinance industry.
“We believe the Singlify and Qredits partnership will be a game-changer for microfinance lenders in Europe. It will enable them to tap into the combined knowledge of the two organizations to develop their staff, systems, and processes and have access to technology developed specifically for their needs. We can also draw from the wealth of experience from Qredits in running a large loan portfolio to improve our Investment Management System.” Maarten said.
Elwin Groenevelt, Qredits CEO said:
“As one of Europe’s leading microfinance lenders, we are often asked for support from others in developing their staff teams, processes, and systems which we provide via our subsidiary Qredits International. We have identified Singlify as the best technology partner to jointly help our sector have access to state-of-the-art cloud technology to manage their loan portfolios.”
Singlify Team In Netherlands

There is no doubt that Covid has accelerated digitalization in many ways. We will never be working, meeting, and learning in the same way as we did in the pre-Covid days. We have been very successful working remotely but sometimes you just can’t beat that in-person feeling and interaction. Some things just can’t be digitalized – human connections is one of those.
After months of teams meetings and emails, it was great to finally meet each other in person and catch up and we definitely found out more about one another. It was a great few days where we worked together as a team to make goals for the future and what we want Singlify to be, lots of brainstorming, and of course shared some laughs and lots of FUN!
We are from different backgrounds but we thrive to achieve our goals, enjoy each win/milestone, accept our failures, and support each other when one needs it. All of this as a team.
The meet was a productive 7 days with various team activities, brainstorming sessions, and visits.
The rapport and camaraderie will definitely get us to greater heights in our future collaborations. Looking forward to more “in-person” meetings with the rest of the team in the near future…
